In addition, when you apply for a job or position with us we may collect certain information from you (including your name, contact details, working history and relevant records checks) from any recruitment consultant, your previous employers and others who may be able to provide information to us to assist in our decision on whether or not to make you an offer of employment or engage you under a contract. This Privacy Policy does not apply to acts and practices in relation to employee records of our current and former employees, which are exempt from the Privacy Act.
We will only collect sensitive information about you with your consent (unless we are otherwise allowed or required by law to collect that information). Sensitive information includes information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs and criminal record.
We will not save credit card information on our servers, website or any third party websites.

You are under no obligation to provide your personal information to the Chamber. However, without certain information from you, the Chamber may not be able to provide its services to you or may be limited in the scope and nature of the services it is able to provide.
To whom do we disclose your personal information?
We may disclose personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy to:
- legal firms, accounting firms, auditors, contractors, consultants, other professional advisors and agents;

- third party suppliers and service providers (including suppliers for the operation of our websites and / or our business or in connection with providing services to you);

We may disclose personal information outside of Australia to Pardot and Salesforce located in the US. We will, however, take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient will deal with such personal information in a way that is consistent with the APPs.

In some circumstances, we may not be able to provide you with access to your personal information. When this is the case, we will tell you why. We may also need to verify your identity when you request access to personal information.
We will also take reasonable steps to ensure that, having regard to the purpose for which it is held, your personal information is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading. If you think that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.
In some circumstances, we may charge you reasonable expenses for providing access to your personal information, for example, a fee for photocopying any information requested by you.
Attendance at events
Photography, video and audio recording may take place at the Chamber’s events and may be reproduced in the Chamber’s publications or on our website.
Security
We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hard copy form. The Chamber maintains secure data networks that are designed to protect your privacy and security, and takes reasonable steps to backup data and prevent unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, interference or loss. For example, all of the Chamber’s file and email data is saved in file servers which are located in a data centre in Australia. The Chamber website collects information via member profiles and form submissions. This server and website data is encrypted. Both platforms are only accessible to staff members. There is no auditing and no internal monitoring of staff behaviour.
The Chamber uses Combinate, Insite.io and SendGrid to collect information from and communicate with our network. This data is encrypted and only accessible to staff members. Staff behaviour is audited on these platforms.
Using our website and cookies
We may collect personal information about you when you use and access our website.
While we do not use browsing information to identify you personally, we may record certain information about your use of our website, such as which pages you visit, the time and date of your visit and the internet protocol address assigned to your computer.
