Fahim leads BDO’s Data and AI service offering in Brisbane and is a Professor of Practice at the University of New South Wales Business School. He has over 15 years of experience across the areas of operational and commercial analysis, strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
He is a sought-after thought leader on data analytics and AI in Australia and has spoken at numerous high-impact national and global events.
Fahim has been involved in a number of end-to-end business reviews, created business case developments to assess the feasibility of options, and detailed commercial analysis for a wide range of organisations across a number of sectors.
His breadth of experience, coupled with his commercial acumen, gives him a holistic understanding of the diverse issues various organisations face.
He is particularly interested in the identification and analysis of key drivers for organisations, and the development of new insights to create value. He is passionate about helping managers and executives make informed decisions on complex issues.

Dr Catherine Batch is a Senior Lecturer in the Graduate School of Business. Before joining QUT Catherine gained experience working in London, Dublin, Sydney and Brisbane in senior management and consulting roles in banking and technology. She productised her Masters project into a media training app and recently divested a payments business she developed for small business. She currently teaches across Master of Business Administration, Public Sector Management Program and corporate programs. Her PhD research was on the role trust plays in AI-generated content for ASX200 companies.
Catherine is a Specialist Service Officer in the Australian Army where she provides public affairs support to military operations, exercises and activities within Australia and overseas. She is also a member of the JY Australia Advisory Board, an Indigenous owned and veteran-run company that provides solutions and services to Government, Defence and Industry.

Alex is head of McCullough Robertson’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications group, specialising in telecommunications, IT, cybersecurity and data protection law. He is recognised for keeping abreast of emerging technologies, and being a thought leader as far as the impact those technologies have on the legal and regulatory landscape.
Alex has published early and extensively on AI, including contributing the Australian chapter for the American Bar Association’s AI guide, co-authoring The Legal 500 Country Comparative Guides: Artificial Intelligence in Australia publication, and speaking on various panels regarding AI and associated legal issues.
Most recently, Alex has been assisting domestic and international clients to understand the implications of AI both for their own internal business processes, and also for their externally facing products, services and functions.
