Chief Executive Officer

David McCredie

David McCredie has been the CEO of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce since 2010. Since joining, he has been dedicated to establishing a culture of growth in membership and sponsorship, while maintaining the core business of building the events program.

Within his role, David is able to facilitate key connections for the benefit of members. By utilising both the Chamber's and his personal network, David creates opportunities for organisations to gain access to knowledge leaders, corporate and government figures.

Furthermore, his interactions with a broad range of industries both in Australia and the UK enables him to provide crucial advice to government, non-government and private sector organisations on best practice in a range of fields, including: business strategy, marketing, financing, political and government connectivity.

The Chamber has grown steadily over the seven years. It has tripled its turnover, increased its surplus, and expanded operations across five states and to the UK for the first time. Thanks to this expansion, the Chamber is in a better position to service its membership than ever.

Throughout his 20-year career, he has developed strong strategic and business development capabilities, becoming a highly regarded resource for those looking to broaden their exposure both within their sector, across industries and into new markets. David completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Newcastle and holds a BA from the University of Technology.

His ability to simplify and define Australia’s unique and long-standing relationship with the UK has made David a leading voice and advisor in the media on political and business activities in the UK.
